For 9 days, traverse the most popular corners of Rwanda from Kigali, Akagera, Gorilla lands and the chimpanzee jungle of Nyungwe forest.
Arrival in the land of a thousand hills, full of extraordinary culture and experiences. Dinner and overnight at Hotel des Mille collines.
Transfer to the eastern part of Rwanda to Akagera, the only park where you will be able to see the big five of Africa. It lies in plains hugging the border of Tanzania. The wildlife you expect to see while here are giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras, and elephants, and also do the newly introduced balloon safari.

This day is dedicated to unforgettable game drives in the plains of Akagera game park in the afternoon you will also do a boat ride on Lake Ihema. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.
Another travel day where we head northwest of the country. The park covers approx. 62 sq mi of rainforest and encompasses five of the available eight volcanoes.
So many activities can be done while here from gorilla trekking. Golden monkey hiking, volcano hikes, visit the Dianne Fossey grave and so much more. Check-in dinner and overnight at Davinci gorilla lodge BLD – FOR 3 NIGHTS
On this day, you depart on your mountain gorilla trek. This we promise is a highlight – never to be forgotten.
There’s a pre-briefing needed at the park Head quarters ay 7;00am and during the briefing, you will be grouped into 8 trekkers per gorilla family. Each group lead guide will brief the trekkers of the procedures to follow. Trekking can take between two to six hours depending on how far the mountain gorillas have wandered off.
Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
On this day you will undertake the golden monkey trek which is more or less the continuation of the previous days activity since you go deep into the same forest.
Golden monkeys are known to have unique characteristics and al=re also classified as endangered. To see these unique species, one has to undertake a forest walk deep into he volcanoes national park. The walk goes through; lush farmlands, meandering rivers and countryside therefore the chances of interacting with locals of the forest are high.
Return to lodge for dinner and overnight at designated hotel.
In the afternoon transfer to Nyungwe forest at Leisure. Arrival at your lodge and dinner as you prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking.
Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guesthouse for 2 nights
On this day, very early in the morning you will go for a pre-briefing at the headquarters. In Nyungwe forest about 30 chomp members roam the area offering visitors excellent visiting opportunities.
The forest has lots of chimpanzees however only two groups have been habituated so far and these are the ones visitors can see.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali but first take part in the canopy walk – one of its kind in East Africa. It’s amazing what you can see from above. (describe canopy briefly here). Lunch on your own account and proceed to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight. (book flight departing 1600h onwards)
