Kikuya Tours was inspired by three passionate Ugandan tour guides, with a great deal of understanding and knowledge about Uganda and Rwanda. The two summed up come to over 20 years’ experience in the tourism sector. With this kind of history these tourism enthusiasts decided to put efforts together in this company in order to support the local community and the sector in a unique way.
Our hope is that we will increase the knowledge of our client’s overtime. By choosing to travel with us, guests can rest assured to leave east Africa as knowledgeable friends.
Our ultimate goal when we started this safari company is to leave something behind that will inspire future generations and bridge community gaps. We will do this by sharing knowledge we have gained along the way in the years that we have worked as tour guides.
We created Kikuya with a dream to not only have something that we can take pride in, but something more meaningful. We want to bring communities together through helping stereotyped disabled children, by giving them skill development and education. We give a percentage of our company profit to the local community, to help disabled children.
Kikuya, a word in Swahili that directly translates to chimpanzee, suggests a touch of quality and authenticity that will be given to each individual that travels with us.
We believe in creating unique memorable experiences for our guests and making their time in the Pearl of Africa an adventure of their dreams. We strive to give you value for your money. Even a low budget safari will have a Kikuya level of quality, far exceeding your expectations.
