The reconciliation village follows/proceeds the genocide story that happened decades ago in Rwanda. It is the place where victims, murderers, and survivors are neighbors and strive to live in harmony. The village is located a 30km drive from Kigali’s capital. It is also known as mbyo reconciliation village.

After engaging in some storytelling time., you will drive back to Kigali for a city tour. During this tour, you will visit the genocide memorial center, the kandt museum of natural history where you can learn about the co-existence of people and their environment in old colonial buildings

Dinner and overnight at the lodge at Hotel des Milles collines hotel.

For a recommended time of 2h, you will make a stop at the King’s palace in Nyanza. Educate yourself on Rwanda’s people and culture inside the museum, where several halls have items from different life aspects. The highlights of the tour are the lovely cows showcasing the truly unique Rwandan experience.

In the afternoon proceed to Butare where you will spend the night at Hotel Maison-Sifa

Rwanda is a country full of history. The ethnographic museum was donated by Belgium’s King Badouin in the 1980s and is now home to seven galleries displaying historic artistic and ae archeological artifacts accompanied by visual aids.

On this day, very early in the morning, you will go for a pre-briefing at the headquarters. In Nyungwe forest about 30 chomp members roam the area offering visitors excellent visiting opportunities.
The forest has lots of chimpanzees however only two groups have been habituated so far and these are the ones visitors can see.
