Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale forest & chimpanzee tracking
Day 2: Bigodi Swamp walk & transfer back to Kampala
With our guide we set out after lunch to the briefing point where we get all the necessary information that will prepare us for chimpanzee tracking. After our short briefing, we set foot in the dense Kibale forest for an encounter with the fascinating chimps. We return to the lodge for dinner.
After breakfast, we set out for a nature walk at Bigodi swamp well-known for an affluence of biological diversity including the white and black L’Hoest monkey, the red colobus monkey, the grey cheeked monkeys, the colobus monkeys, the mangabey, red tailed monkey, vervet monkey, blue monkey and a few other mammals. Bigodi Wetland is also a prominent haven for birds with well over 138 species among which the Great Blue Turaco. We return to the lodge for lunch, checkout and begin your drive back to Kampala/ Entebbe.
